More businesses are recognising that the use of eBikes are becoming a business benefit or revenue generating opportunity. We have created two distinct programmes to support these initiatives.
eBike Adoption Programme (EAP)
The eBike Adoption Programme (EAP) is to assist larger employers to encourage the use of e-Bikes as a practical option for commuting, or for use as an alternative form of transportation.
The EAP will enable businesses and organisations to trial electric bikes – commuting or eCargo bikes, and assist them to build a business case to influence a modal shift from diesel and petrol vehicles and grow the adoption of eCargo and eBikes as a method of business transportation and/or employers to encourage the use of e-Bikes as a practical option for commuting.
This takes the form of a controlled test designed together to define outcomes to be achieved in a specified area. This will enable the business to justify the adoption of eBikes within the business based upon quantified improvements in:
- Rider perceptions
- Quantifying the reduction in C02 emissions data
- Health and well-being metrics
- Cost savings (transportation cost comparisons, car parking levy and charges)
- Increase in commuting / service miles/shift
This has been performed with many organisations to optimise for example, police patrolling, GP home visits, inter-office transportation, parking space reduction and staff mobility.
The EAP will culminate in a summary report detailing the key results that meet the expected objectives, to justify the adoption of eBikes with options of:
Companies are investing in a number of eBikes which are made available for inter-office transportation. We can provide fully managed eBike stocks with booking, location tracking and usage reporting systems.
Green Commute Initiative (GCI)
We engage businesses with the Green Commute Initiative to provide tax advantages and benefits to employer and staff alike. The GCI is an improved solution over the standard Cycle to Work scheme. It has no practical limit so the purchase of an eBike of any value is possible and offers up to 42% savings.
Long-Term eBike Rentals
This is to provide access to eBikes for longer term rental, to support capacity issues or to further justify adoption and staff loans. The minimum term is two-month minimum per bike. Bikes are equipped with trackers and locks to aid in location verification and security.
Our programmes are supported by Experience Days, where we provide the opportunity for staff to understand more and try out this new form of transport first hand and help them to engage in new, liberating and healthy mobility. We will work with the company to help promote this arrangement for maximum benefit.
Ride Electric Rental Partner Programme
An easy-access method for owners of visitor-rich business locations to profit by enhancing their core capability to offer e-bikes as a service.
Partners are equipped with high-quality bikes with models to suit their market. They get display equipment, point-of-sale materials and access to our online trading and information systems. They also receive product & sales training and access to technical & sales support to provide the backup needed. They are helped to build their own ride communities to get people out together in groups to share the experience.
We can help partners to start trading almost immediately and quickly benefit from rental revenues and commissions from the sale of bikes – without having to become a bike shop.
